Militant associated with Zakir Musa killed in Zukura shootout : Police | KNO

Militant hailing from Parimpora area of Srinagar has been killed after sustaining bullet wounds at Zukura this evening in which a police officer also lost his life, police sources told news agency GNS. A senior police officer told GNS that the militant identified as Mugees Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Aziz Mir, who hails from Parimpora and was active since many years, had sustained bullets but managed to escape from the spot at Zukura. “We have reports that he had made a call to his family. His body has reached his home and we have started further investigation,” they said.

The officer said that Mugees was presently affiliated with Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind led by Zakir Musa. Meanwhile, massive protests are being reported from Parimpora area of Srinagar. (GNS) Meanwhile,To pay homage to martyr police officer Shri Imran Tak, a wreath laying ceremony was held in DPL Srinagar. Among the police officers who presented wreaths and flowers included IGP Kashmir Shri Munir Ahmad Khan, IGP Armed (Kashmir) Shri S. Ahfadul Mujtaba, DIG CKR Shri Ghulam Hassan Bhat, and a number of SsP & Commandants of armed/IR, DySsP and Jawans. As has been reported earlier SI Imran Tak resident of Basantgarh, Udhampur lost his life in a terrorist attack at Gulabbagh, Srinagar.
